My toddler actually sits through the whole first words book now, pointing at the pictures and trying to say them. The board pages are thick enough that he hasn't ripped one yet, which says a lot.

The Baby Math board book turned out to be the surprise hit — my toddler points at the dots on each page and babbles along like she's counting. Chunky pages have survived a few enthusiastic chewing sessions too.
