Reading Skill Set, Box 7, K to 1st grade

My daughter just finished kindergarten and this box clicked with her right away. The phonetics activities were hard for her at first but now she reads the little booklets to me each night. It's been about six weeks and she's noticeably more confident with sounding out words.

The kindergarten-to-first-grade transition is such a tricky reading stage and this box nails it — the activities build on each other instead of jumping around randomly. My daughter actually asks to do her "reading box" after dinner, which never happened with the random workbooks I'd been buying.

The box targets the K-to-1st transition, which fits my son, but a few of the activities felt too easy for him. It's a decent supplement, though I wish there were more challenge built in for kids already reading simple words.
