Early Reader Club, Months 37-38

The little book about animal sounds is now in heavy rotation at bedtime, and I've caught my son "reading" it to his stuffed bear. At 3 he's starting to connect letters to sounds, and the pacing of the materials feels just right for where he's at.

My daughter went from flipping pages randomly to actually pointing at words and "reading" them out loud, which I didn't expect at 3. The little book set that came in this month's kit is her new favorite, and I've already lost count of how many times we've read it together.

The little book set finally got my son interested in "reading" on his own, and he's started pointing at words while I say them out loud. The materials feel sturdy enough to survive a toddler, which matters at this age.
