My toddler actually asks for this one at bedtime now, and I love how the storytelling gives us a simple way to talk about being mad or sad without it turning into a meltdown. The pages are sturdy enough for little hands to turn on their own.

The way it frames emotions as just "two big feelings" has made tantrum conversations way easier with my 3-year-old. We read it during the day and I catch her using the same words to describe what she's feeling now.

My kid asks for this one every night now, the way it walks through emotions step by step has actually started helping him name his own big feelings out loud. The pages are sturdy enough for his rough handling too, which I appreciate.
