My son actually asks to do the activities in this box, which never happens with his other schoolwork. The 1st to 2nd grade level feels right on target for him instead of too easy or frustrating.
My daughter is in 1st grade and the activities in this box finally got her excited about reading instead of fighting me on it. The leveled passages are short enough that she doesn't get overwhelmed, and she's already recognizing more sight words after a couple weeks.
The activities are actually at the right level for my son, who's halfway through 2nd grade and gets bored easily. I just wish the box had a few more pages per skill since he tore through it in about two weeks. Still, it fit our after-school routine without a fight, which says a lot.
