We've been using this alongside his school reading, and the leveled activities hit that sweet spot between too easy and frustrating. The word-building cards in Box 6 are sturdy and have held up to daily use for weeks.
My 1st grader actually asks to do the reading cards on her own now, which I didn't expect. The way Box 6 builds on what she already knew from earlier boxes meant she wasn't frustrated or bored. Worth every penny for the confidence boost alone.
The word games in this box finally got my son to read without whining, which is honestly a win. I do wish there were a few more pages per activity since he finishes them fast, but the leveled difficulty between 1st and 2nd grade feels right for him.
