The board book pages are thicker than I expected, so my 2-year-old can flip them without tearing anything. The fire engine illustrations keep her pointing at the wheels on every page. We've read it four nights straight now.

My two-year-old makes me read the Captain Shelby fire engine book at least four times before bed now, and he points at every little detail on the pages. The board book pages are thick, so he can flip them himself without me worrying about tears.

We've read Captain Shelby so many times this week that I can recite it in my sleep, but my daughter actually points at the fire engine pictures and narrates along now. The board book pages handle her enthusiastic page-turning without a single tear, which is more than I can say for our other books.
