My toddler actually sat still through the whole brushing routine for the first time, mostly because she was glued to the pictures of the other kid doing it with his mom. The dentist Q&A at the back was a nice bonus for me, and the teeth diagram gives us something to point at while we count chompers.
We tried it for the first time tonight and I was shocked — my kid mirrored the brushing routine page by page, even pointing at the teeth diagram to ask where the “sugar bugs” live, all while I got a proper tooth-brushing session in without wrestling.
My toddler actually sits still for the whole routine now, and the teeth diagram at the back made it easy to point out which teeth we were scrubbing. The photo of the other kid brushing alongside us gave her that "we're in this together" feeling, and bedtime has gotten way less of a battle.
