The little word games in this box finally got my son excited about reading, and I like that the activities are pitched right at his kindergarten level instead of feeling babyish. We keep it on the shelf for after-school time and he actually asks for it.
My daughter went from sounding out words to actually reading the little books on her own, which surprised me for a kindergarten box. The activities are paced well enough that she doesn't get frustrated, though I do wish there were a few more of the practice sheets included.
The leveled readers in this box finally got my daughter reading full sentences on her own, and she asks for them at bedtime now. The phonics cards are sturdy enough to survive a 6-year-old, which I appreciate. It lines up perfectly with what she's doing in kindergarten.
