My three-year-old asked to read this one three times in a row tonight, and even I learned something about the sukkah tradition we hadn’t covered yet. The story’s simple enough for her to follow along, but the cultural details feel genuine and not dumbed down.

The illustrations are genuinely lovely for a board book, and the story does a nice job explaining what a sukkah is without getting too heavy for a two-year-old. It's become a staple in our bedtime rotation, and I like that it's sturdy enough to survive some enthusiastic page turning.

My toddler asks for this one every single night since we got it—the story about building the sukkah is just the right length to hold her attention, and the pages feel sturdy enough for her to flip on her own. It’s been a lovely way to start talking about the holiday without it feeling like a lesson.
